


Tipping the Velvet runs at the Lyric Hammersmith from 28 September to 24 October, after which it will transfer to the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh from 28 October to 14 November. The production will be designed by Lizzie Clachan, with choreography by Alistair David and music by Michael Bruce. The production is adapted from the bestselling book by Sarah Waters by playwright Laura Wade, best known for Posh. Tipping the Velvet (2002) is based on Sarah Waters’ first novel, and this is one of those rare times when both the source and adaption are equally awesome. Full casting has been announced for Tipping the Velvet, which opens at the Lyric Hammersmith next month.
